2020 Toronto Fall RV Show & Sale Cancellation
Despite surging demand for RVs, public health is our priority
Despite surging demand for RVs, concerns about public health has led the ORVDA Board of Directors to take the difficult, but responsible decision to cancel this year’s fall show, originally scheduled for October 16-18, 2020.
The market for RVs continues to thrive, and the ORVDA has been actively working on a number of short and long-term initiatives to help our members take full advantage of unprecedented levels of demand.
We will continue to work closely with our partners at the Toronto Congress Centre and leverage our resources with the Canadian Association of Exhibition Management (CAEM). We have taken an active role in important advocacy initiatives and consultations with the provincial government, and continue to work to make a clear distinction between consumer trade shows, exhibitions and mass gatherings.
We recognize there are many variables to consider with respect to the upcoming show season. ORVDA is committed to making informed decisions and working collaboratively with industry leaders and the province of Ontario to accomplish a safe and responsible relaunch of trade and consumer shows. We will continue to communicate important updates to our shareholders over the coming weeks.
The RV sector: A force for economic recovery
Trade and consumer exhibitions will ultimately play a significant role in the province’s economic recovery. They bring companies and people together and encourage the buying and selling of the goods and services that fire our economy. The pandemic has led to widespread economic change. But for the RV sector, the future has never looked brighter.
