Ontario orders mandatory closure of all non-essential workplaces
The Government of Ontario has announced the mandatory closure of all non-essential workplaces effective Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at 11:59pm. The closure remains in effect for 14 days with the understanding it may be extended.
A full list of businesses permitted to remain open will be released tomorrow.
Businesses able to operate with employees that work remotely, or through other contingency measures have been given approximately 36 hours to prepare and adapt.
A 1-800 number and website will be made available on Wednesday by the province for any inquiries.
