ORVDA Summer Campaign

There's a better way to travel. Get an RV.
 In Membership

In February, as concerns about the coronavirus grew, the ORVDA saw that an opportunity was at hand to change perceptions about RVing. We prepared an ad campaign, “There’s a better way to travel. Get an RV.” It’s for our dealer and associate members alike. Here’s how it works.

Running June 15th- July 16th, the campaign includes six ads, each highlighting a different attribute of RVing. These are all for you to use. Print ads are supplemented with a social media visual, web slider and content.  The print ad and social media visual are fillable pdfs, so you can easily add your company logo (JPEG or png file): please see pages 6 & 7, ORVDA Summer Campaign Overview.

The assets for first theme, “Plenty of legroom” can be downloaded here:

Maximizing impact

This campaign will be most effective if all members launch simultaneously. We will send material one week in advance: the full campaign schedule is on pages 2 & 3 of the Campaign Overview document.

This week, we’ve included art and content for “Plenty of legroom.” and are asking you to release it Monday, June 15th. The blog post will go live that morning: please link to it at https://rvshowsontario.ca/2020/06/02/motorhomes-the-ultimate-in-travel-comfort/?.

Every week, the ad and supporting blog post emphasize a different aspect of RVing. “Plenty of legroom” talks about how comfortable RV travel is, and highlights the legroom and amenities of motorhome travel in particular. Please feel free to copy or adapt the content for your own web and social use. We included the draft content as a downloadable asset (above) so you have some time to think about how to make best use of it. For example, the article supplied this week includes the following sentence:

“No need to navigate public washrooms either. Motorhomes come equipped with a bathroom and shower.”

You could easily adapt it into a social post with a picture that emphasizes details about a vehicle you’re selling:

“No need to navigate public washrooms. The Airstream Interstate Lounge EXT Touring Coach’s European-style bathroom neatly houses a sink, shower, and toilet, plus a built-in shampoo, conditioner, and body wash station and a clothesline.”

Use your imagination — and get as much mileage as you can from the campaign and the renewed interest Canadians have in RVing.

If you have any questions or difficulties using this material, please email Laura William or call 416 895 3276.

Let’s turn the next few months of 2020 into unprecedented success!
